WHO WE ARE
Our journey has been marked by determination and perseverance, and today, we proudly stand as the conduit for a National First Nations Voice on housing. NATSIHA is committed to reshaping the housing landscape for the betterment of First Nations peoples.
As the national peak body, our role is clear: we champion community-controlled housing solutions to ensure that every First Nations individual and family has access to safe, secure, and culturally fitting housing across Australia.
What sets us apart is our unwavering belief in the power of self-determination and community engagement. By empowering First Nations communities to shape their own housing solutions, we’re not only addressing the housing emergency but also contributing to closing the gap – a significant step towards achieving equity and improved outcomes for First Nations people in all aspects of life.
Our commitment to independence is the driving force behind our efforts, as we work tirelessly to put the decision-making process in the hands of those who will benefit the most. Together, we are writing a new chapter in the history of First Nations housing, one where self-determination, community involvement, and closing the gap are at the forefront of our mission.
